Day 1 of Section 4 Championship at Union Endicott:
Leah O'Connell ran solid back to back performances in the 400m dash & 800m run.
Jeb Parillo ran his personal best in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:02.
Lance Jensen claimed the title of Section 4 Champion in the 400m hurdles! Way to GO Lance! He will continue on competing at the NYS meet on June 8 & 9 in Syracuse!

Candor Track and Field was at it again - Friday night at IAC competition in Trumansburg. The Candor Boys squad finished third in the league - an enormous achievement.
Putting forward personal bests were: Stella Gerrard in the Long Jump, Ty Benners and Lance Jensen in the 200 meter dash, Lillian Jensen, Conor Figgs, and Nash Whitmore in the 100 meter dash, Figgs in the shot, and Corey Whatley in the open 800 meter run.
Finishing 4th and 6th in the league for the 400 meter dash, were Leah O'Connell and Mya Marsh. Taking 4th for the boys - Lance Jensen. Leah bouncing back to take 6th in the 800 meter. Placing 1st and 2nd for small schools - Jeb Parillo and Caleb Vaow in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Rounding out the evening, the men's 4 by 400 meter relay team of Corey, Lance, Jeb, and Christian Haynes, placed 2nd overall, just 5 seconds from the Candor school record - it was a spectacular race.
On a special note: Lance Jensen - IAC Champion - with a blazing fast time of 56.8 seconds, a NEW SCHOOL RECORD, a TRUMANSBURG STADIUM RECORD, and an automatic NYS TRACK AND FIELD STATE MEET CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING TIME - in the 400 meter hurdles.
Well done ladies and gentlemen. Wish Jeb, Jenna O'Connell, and Caleb Vaow the best of luck as they begin their class D championship competition in the Steeplechase - TODAY, May 21. The rest of the team competes on Wednesday, May 23 at Marathon.
